On September 26, 2008, 19-year-old Aubrey A. Johnson was fatally shot by Birmingham police officer trainee Anderson Dunning during a confrontation following a hit-and-run incident. The encounter occurred at 7921 4th Avenue South in Birmingham, Alabama.
