Savion Isabell, a 16-year-old male from Birmingham, Alabama, was spending the late evening of April 7, 2021 inside an apartment in the Inglenook community when gunfire tore through the quiet around 11:30 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of 40th Street North after reports that two people had been shot, and when they entered the residence they found Savion slumped on a couch with a gunshot wound, unresponsive as first responders rushed in behind them.
