On May 4, 2024, 28-year-old African American woman DaNeshia Lashay McMillan was fatally shot in Montgomery, Alabama. The incident occurred around 3:10 a.m. in the 5100 block of Loblolly Pine Drive, a residential area near Troy Highway and Eastern Boulevard.
