In the late spring of 2024, the community of Pickens County, Alabama, was unsettled by a violent crime that resulted in the death of a local man. This tip led investigators to the discovery of 46-year-old Darrell Bowden, a Black male from Livingston, who had been fatally shot.
The investigation into Bowden's death quickly
gained momentum. It was determined that he had been shot south of Aliceville over the weekend before being transported to Greene County Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
