On August 14, 2024, at approximately 6:19 a.m., deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a person shot at 1641 1st Street NE in Center Point, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 34-year-old Miguel De Jesus Ramirez lying in the front yard, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Deputies immediately administered CPR until Center Point Fire & Rescue arrived and pronounced Ramirez deceased at the scene.
