In the early morning hours of September 8, 2024, the quiet of an Opelika, Alabama mobile home park was shattered by the sound of gunfire. When police arrived at the Opelika Mobile Home Park on Walnut Street, they discovered 31-year-old Victor Lewis Morgan, a Black male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders transported him to East Alabama Medical Center, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead shortly before 3 a.m.
