In the early morning hours of a Saturday in October 2016, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in the Brightwood Park neighborhood of Northwest Washington, D.C. When police responded to the scene on the 600 block of Kennedy Street NW at approximately 2:15 a.m., they discovered two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. One of the victims, Saul Flores, was pronounced dead at the scene.
