On November 2, 2016, Joshua Wayne Munson, a 22-year-old local rapper from District Heights, Maryland, was shot and killed in Southeast Washington, D.C. The incident took place in an alleyway behind a residence in the 1600 block of T Street, SE. Around 11:24 p.m., officers responded to calls about an unconscious individual and found Munson with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
