On March 26, 2024, 58-year-old Stanley Jay Webb was fatally shot at his residence on Mays Road in Carbon Hill, Alabama. Responding to reports of a shooting around 12:30 p.m., officers from the Carbon Hill Police Department discovered Webb deceased at the scene. The suspect, identified as 49-year-old Lonny Paul Tatum, had fled prior to the officers' arrival.
