Death by Force

On April 13, 2024, at approximately 11:10 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a report of a tow truck parked in the driveway of a vacant home in the 1700 block of Maple Avenue SW. Upon arrival, they discovered the tow truck with its engine running and found 41-year-old Christopher Deandre Coleman lying unresponsive on the ground nearby, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
