On February 9, 2024, 19-year-old Tamarion Burton of Jackson, Mississippi, was fatally injured in a high-speed incident on Interstate 459 South near mile marker 13 in Hoover, Alabama. Around 10:09 a.m., Hoover Police received reports of a traffic crash involving multiple vehicles traveling at high speeds. Witnesses described three cars—identified as a Nissan Sentra, a BMW M4, and a Jeep Cherokee—engaged in reckless driving.
