In the quiet, early morning hours of January 22, 2021, a burst of violence shattered the peace at The Woods of Hoover apartment complex in Hoover, Alabama, leaving a young man's life cut tragically short. Kristopher Michael Shelly Jr., a 19-year-old male, was discovered inside a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The initial call to authorities came in just before 2 a.m., a grim start to what would be a long and sorrowful day for his loved ones.
