In the early evening of May 6, 2022, a gathering on Sister Street in New Orleans was shattered by gunfire, leaving a scene of chaos and tragedy. When the shooting stopped, 42-year-old Trevon Bernard Sr. and 24-year-old Kenny Young were dead, and four other individuals were wounded. The incident, which occurred at a street party, sent shockwaves through the community.
