On a late Wednesday evening in Hoover, Alabama, the life of 42-year-old Juan Tierney Hall, a male Tuscaloosa County detention officer, came to a tragic and violent end. On December 20, 2023, Hall was fatally shot during an exchange of gunfire at The Lory of Hoover apartment complex on Emerald Point Drive. The incident, which unfolded shortly before 10:00 p.m., also left a 33-year-old male resident of the apartment complex with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
