Murdered

On December 10, 2023, at approximately 2:45 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a shooting at Mel's Lounge, located at 3921 Richard Arrington Junior Boulevard North. Upon arrival, they discovered 32-year-old Quantez Banks, a resident of Center Point, Alabama, unresponsive with a gunshot wound inside the establishment. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
