On April 6, 2023, at approximately 9:30 p.m., 47-year-old Anthony Darniel Knight was fatally shot while driving in Birmingham, Alabama. Officers from the West Precinct responded to reports of a person shot in the 1400 block of Brighton Road. Upon arrival, they discovered Knight unresponsive in his vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
