In the late hours of December 23, 2023, the life of 43-year-old David Wayne Nicholas, a white male, was violently cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. What began as a brutal assault inside a residence on Lake Lane Northeast, escalated into a desperate plea for help and ultimately, his death in the early moments of Christmas Eve.
