A couple is murdered in their home
Birmingham police believe the person who fatally shot a man and woman, then set their house on fire in Ensley early Sunday morning, knew the couple.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified the couple as Quintrell Lashon Alexander, 42, and Trinetta Yvonne Pendleton, 35.
Police said someone saw smoke coming from the house in the 700 block of 17th Street in Ensley after 2 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 18. When firefighters arrived, they found Alexander.
