In the early morning hours of Friday, October 6, 2023, the life of 27-year-old Dyron Malik Mays Perry of Midfield, Alabama, was tragically cut short. Perry, a Black male, was in the parking lot of a nightclub located in the 800 block of 2nd Avenue North in Birmingham when gunfire erupted shortly after 1 a.m. The chaotic scene left two men dead and a woman critically injured.
