In the early hours of a summer morning in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of a young man was tragically cut short. Damein Dewayne Barber, a 19-year-old male, was discovered unresponsive in the yard of a residence in the 1600 block of 27th Street North on July 25, 2023. A Birmingham police officer on patrol made the somber discovery at approximately 12:40 a.m.
