Death by Force

On June 30, 2023, at approximately 11:43 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 600 block of 11th Court West. Upon arrival, they discovered 50-year-old Birmingham resident Sherry Lynette Body lying unresponsive on the sidewalk, suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived shortly thereafter and pronounced her deceased at the scene.
