On April 18, 2023, 31-year-old Ariel Jones was found deceased in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 8:15 a.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to reports of an abandoned blue four-door sedan in the 8400 block of 5th Avenue North. Upon arrival, they discovered Jones' body inside the vehicle. An autopsy later revealed that she had been shot.
