On a Tuesday night in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 24-year-old Corieonna Shantrice Hines, a pregnant mother, was tragically cut short. On January 31, 2023, Hines was fatally shot in an apartment in the western part of the city. The violence of that evening also left two young girls, aged 7 and 13, with gunshot wounds, though their injuries were not life-threatening.
