In the fading light of a November evening in Fairfield, Alabama, the life of 27-year-old Deandre Lamar Hayes was tragically cut short. On November 3, 2023, in the 600 block of Jerry D Coleman Road, Hayes was fatally wounded in a shooting. The incident prompted an investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, which quickly began to piece together the events that led to the young man's death.
