On September 30, 2022, 25-year-old Asia Monique Johnson was found unresponsive near the intersection of 71st Street and 1st Avenue North in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding to a 7:45 p.m. call, East Precinct officers discovered Johnson suffering from an unknown injury. Despite CPR attempts by Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
