On a Saturday afternoon, the 3rd of September, 2022, a sense of grim familiarity descended upon a neighborhood in Birmingham, Alabama. In the 4200 block of Inglenook Street, the sound of rapid gunfire shattered the day's calm. When police officers arrived at approximately 1:45 p.m., they discovered a vehicle that had been riddled with bullets. Inside, two men were unresponsive, both having sustained gunshot wounds.
