Arriving at the scene, they discovered a harrowing sight. Inside a silver Nissan Altima, Kelis Cook was found in the front passenger seat, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nearby, a 30-year-old man was also found, suffering from a single gunshot wound to his hand. The circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately clear, leaving a community in shock and a family devastated.
