On October 1, 2022, 39-year-old Lauren Anne White and 24-year-old Blakely Meachelle Nelson were found deceased in their apartment at The Park at Hoover complex in Hoover, Alabama. A 911 call at approximately 7:52 a.m. reported the discovery of two individuals possibly dead inside the residence. Responding officers arrived to find both women had suffered fatal gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene by Hoover Fire medics.
