Rikki D'Unri Christopher Bynum, a 27-year-old male, and his longtime friend, Joseph Demetrice Robinson, aged 25, were fatally shot in what authorities described as a targeted attack stemming from an ongoing dispute. The violence unfolded in the parking lot, perilously close to Robinson's one-year-old son, who was present at the scene but miraculously escaped physical harm. A third man, Corey Lamont Glover Jr., was also wounded in the shooting but survived his injuries.
The sound of multiple gunshots attracted the attention of nearby Birmingham Police officers from the East Precinct, who rushed to the chaotic scene. They discovered the three wounded men and immediately began an investigation. Witnesses provided a description of the shooter, which led to the swift capture of Antonio Shaw, then 32, in the 9100 block of Parkway East. A weapon was also recovered.
