On a Monday evening in Birmingham, Alabama, the sound of gunfire pierced the air, prompting a response from law enforcement. Upon their arrival, they discovered a vehicle still running, a haunting detail in an otherwise still and silent scene.
Inside the car, they found 48-year-old Jonathan Jackson, who had sustained what appeared to be a fatal
gunshot wound. Just outside the vehicle lay the body of 22-year-old Darnell Ogletree, a young male who had also been shot. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel were called to the location, but it was too late for the two men; both were pronounced deceased at the scene.
