On October 7, 2018, 22-year-old Devin Darnell Crowell was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred early that Sunday morning in the 900 block of 50th Street North. Crowell was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He remained at the hospital until Tuesday, as he was an organ donor.
