On August 18, 2015, 31-year-old Divine Vaniah Chambliss was found deceased in his Hoover, Alabama, apartment, a suburb of Birmingham. Chambliss, who worked as a security guard at his church, was reportedly napping when his 2-year-old son discovered a loaded handgun. The child accidentally discharged the firearm, resulting in a fatal gunshot wound to Chambliss's head.
