In the late summer of 2015, a heart-wrenching incident unfolded in a Birmingham, Alabama, apartment, leaving a family shattered and a community in disbelief. On the afternoon of August 18th, 31-year-old Divine Vaniah Chambliss, a male, was found unresponsive by the mother of his children. He had been looking after their two-year-old son while she was at work. Upon her return, she discovered Chambliss in bed with a single gunshot wound to his head.
