In the late hours of a December evening in 2024, tragedy struck in the Center Point area of Birmingham, Alabama, forever altering the lives of one family. Joshua James Allums, a 27-year-old male, became the victim of a fatal shooting on December 23rd. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the 200 block of Polly Reed Road to investigate reports of a person shot.
