On New Year's Day in 2020, the life of 49-year-old Carla Fluker Mack, a female U.S. Navy veteran, was tragically cut short in her Lake View, Alabama, home. On that Wednesday afternoon, her ex-boyfriend, 57-year-old Carl Evans Boyd, arrived at her residence. The two had recently ended their relationship, a development that investigators believe angered Boyd.
