On November 16, 2015, a tragic incident occurred in Cedar Bluff, Alabama, resulting in the deaths of three women, including 48-year-old Pamala Collette Marts Oshel. The victims were at a residence located at 1460 County Road 664 when the assailant, identified as 38-year-old Donnie Abernathy, entered the home. Abernathy, who was involved in a child custody dispute with one of the residents, opened fire, killing Pamala Oshel, 71-year-old Sylvia Duff, and 68-year-old Clara Edwards.
