On May 5, 2019, 84-year-old Hattie Evans was found deceased in her Birmingham, Alabama, home on Zion City Road. Responding to a welfare check around 2:15 a.m., officers discovered her unresponsive on the bedroom floor, having sustained head injuries. Birmingham Fire and Rescue pronounced her dead at the scene.
