In the summer of 2018, the life of 16-year-old Arrielle Lashawn Parker-Jefferies was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence in Birmingham, Alabama. On the night of July 8th, the rising senior at Wenonah High School was the victim of a fatal drive-by shooting. Arrielle, a promising student and member of her school's dance team, was in a vehicle on Westwood Drive when another car pulled alongside and an occupant opened fire.
