On April 19, 2019, 23-year-old Demario Jovohyn Sanders was fatally stabbed in Pell City, Alabama. The incident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. at the Shady Dale Mobile Home Park. Sanders was transported by private vehicle to St. Vincent's Hospital in St. Clair County and later transferred to UAB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
