On August 3, 2023, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Pell City Police responded to reports of gunshots in the 600 block of Miracle Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 40-year-old Tuskonee Carlvelous Kaboyse'a Woods deceased from multiple gunshot wounds inside a residence. A 34-year-old woman was also found at the scene, suffering from gunshot injuries; she was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham and was listed in critical condition.
