On January 22, 2024, at approximately 11 p.m., Moody Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at the residence of 61-year-old John D. Bowlin and his wife, 60-year-old Connie Bowlin, in Moody, Alabama. Upon arrival, officers discovered John Bowlin deceased from a gunshot wound and Connie Bowlin suffering from a gunshot injury; she was transported to UAB Hospital in stable condition.
