On November 5, 2019, 20-year-old Nicholas Sloan "Boo" Harmon was fatally shot near the Brompton/Moody exit off Interstate 20 in St. Clair County, Alabama. Around 11 p.m., a Moody police officer discovered Harmon's vehicle crashed into a utility pole at a Valero gas station. Inside, Harmon was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
