On January 28, 2010, 26-year-old Shawn Lamont Smith was found shot and killed in Richmond, Virginia. Between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., Smith was fatally wounded and discovered later by authorities. His murder has remained unsolved, despite continued investigations by the Richmond Police Department.
