Do you know who shot and killed Juan in May of 2015? In the early morning hours of May 16, 2015, the body of 36-year-old Juan V. Dehaney was discovered by officers responding to a call about a person down in the 1800 block of Southlawn Avenue. His body was found lying in the grass between two apartment buildings in the Hillside Court area of Richmond, Virginia. It was determined that he had been shot.
At the time of his death, Dehaney had no permanent address.
Following the discovery, the Richmond Police Department opened a homicide investigation into Dehaney's death. Authorities publicly identified him and appealed to the community for any information that might lead to a break in the case. Detectives from the Major Crimes unit were assigned to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
