Andrew Jones, a 23-year-old man from Richmond, Virginia, was fatally shot on the night of August 15, 2026, during a large block party in the city's Fairfield Court neighborhood. The shooting unfolded in the 2200 block of North 23rd Street, where a crowd had gathered near an apartment complex. What had been a neighborhood gathering quickly became a homicide scene when gunfire erupted shortly before 11 p.m.
