The Grover Beach Police Department and the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department conducted the investigation, concluding that Rawlinson had shot Neece before taking his own life.
Neece and Rawlinson were both real estate agents working for Century 21 Hometown Realty in Arroyo Grande. They had been dating for about a year before the tragic event.
