On the cold night of January 24, 1998, in Knoxville, Tennessee, the life of 22-year-old Phillip Delantia Wilkerson Jr. was tragically cut short. In an act of violence that continues to baffle investigators, Wilkerson, a young male, was shot and killed near the Club Royal, located at 2111 McCalla Avenue. The devastating event also claimed the life of another man, Emanuel Oliver Wykle, who was with Wilkerson at the time.
