In the early morning hours of September 9, 2017, the lives of two young people were tragically cut short on the east side of Detroit. Twenty-three-year-old Jalisa Baxter and her friend, Eric Perkins, were discovered shot to death inside a car that was parked in a vacant lot near the intersection of Rohns and Moffett streets. The discovery was made at approximately 3:45 a.m.
