On the night of the Fourth of July in 2015, a young man named Jose Luis Morales-Rodriguez, aged 23, was fatally shot in Nashville, Tennessee. He had driven a friend to the intersection of Amelia Drive and Amelia Court to visit a young woman who lived there. Shortly before midnight, while he was sitting in his Ford Ranger, an unknown assailant or assailants opened fire, striking and killing him.
Despite the efforts of first responders, Morales-Rodriguez succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The Nashville Police Department's Cold Case Homicide Unit is still actively investigating the murder of Jose Luis Morales-Rodriguez. To date, no arrests have been made in connection with his death, and no suspects have been publicly identified. Detectives continue to seek information from the public that could lead to a breakthrough in the case and bring those responsible for his death to justice.
