In the spring of 2021, the life of 19-year-old Donta K. Reed was cut short in a burst of violence inside a Nashville motel room. On the night of Wednesday, April 21, 2021, an exchange of gunfire erupted within a room at the Rodeway Inn located at 893 Murfreesboro Pike. When the shooting ceased, Reed had been fatally wounded.
