On July 4, 2023, at approximately 2 p.m., 23-year-old Angel Rodriguez Troche was fatally shot in what authorities described as a targeted attack. Troche was found critically injured in the driver's seat of his Dodge Challenger, which had crashed into a telephone pole near an apartment building in the 1600 block of Lebanon Pike in South Nashville.
